  • Employee complaint

I have a complaint about one of your employees in California. She uses your resources to follow every move we make and look up all family members and all our resources. She is a daughter of my husband, who recently passed away from Alzheimer's disease. In the 15 years that he was ill she never came to visit him but would call him and cause problems. If this continues I am going to file restraining orders against her and contact a lawyer to file a suit. Her name is DeLynn Conley and the last address I had for her is 3110 Oakcrest Dr., Chino Hills, CA 91709. The last phone number I... More...

  • Fannie Mae - legal description incorrect

We are trying to purchase a Fannie Mae property. Paid for the appraisal, assessment and even the survey as Fannie Mae's title company refused to pay for the survey. The survey came back stating that the legal description was incorrect. Fastforward 2 months later and the contract has been extended 6 times. Fannie Mae's title company is trying to get signatures for a corrective deed, 1 more signature needed and the lady has refused to sign. Coincidentally Heritage Title works for the law firm that didnt catch the error. Which is the law firm that did the foreclosure. Conflict of... More...

  • Fannie Mae unresponsive

My father had to claim bankruptcy due to unforseen financial circumstances in the last couple of years. He has been working with Suntrust for 2 years to keep his house but it is valued at $220,000 which is much lower than the $550,000 price tag he bought it for 8 years ago before financial hardship. In the last 2 years, his loan has been sold, then resold back to suntrust. Now Suntrust tells him that he has to contact Fannie Mae as there is not debt due to the bankruptcy, but they can take the house back if he does not pay $15,000 on the house immediately he does not have. He has been... More...

  • Fannie Mae REO property

I am a real estate broker who had a client with a contract to purchase a Fannie Mae Foreclosure. My client's FHA appraisal came in under the contract price and Fannie Mae refused to lower the price of the house to match the FHA appraisal and relisted the house. The house still has not sold (5 months later) and now the price of the house is $50k under what our original offer was for and $30k under what the appraised value was. On top of all of that the home has been listed for 8 months. Not sure why Fannie Mae was trying to get OVER market value for a house with someone using FHA... More...

  • Unfair Selling Practice

We attempted to buy a condo for cash in Las Vegas at a price within comp range of $74,000 to $76,000 for a primary residence for a local resident. Fannie Mae asking price of $89,000 was a ridiculous price -- they would only drop it by a couple of thousand so we pulled our offer. Condo would not sell at $87,000 so it was sold at auction for $45,000 to an out of state buyer. We were not even contacted that an auction would be held. How ethical is this? More...

  • Refuse

Contract was signed on Oct 1 2013 and my attorney has asked to either terminate the contract or ask for extension on Oct 2 2013. The attorney review has not finalized and not even started it yet. They refused to return my deposits and I have been waiting for 3 months. They did not terminate my contract, refuse to return deposits when the contract is not binding yet since attorney review has not been finalized yet, and take other offers in the meantime. Is it legal??? More...

  • Full Price Cash Offer Rejected?

I am a Real Estate Broker and have sold Real Estate for over 8 years now. I currently have a client who made a full price, cash offer to Fannie Mae, through the HomePath website, for a property that was in the "first look" period. It took a few days, but we eventually got an email saying there were multiple offers. We kept the offer as written and waited for a response. The offer was rejected. There were no others buyers, but the offer was rejected. When I got in touch with Fannie Mae, I was told to contact the listing agent, as they are the ones in contact with the servicers for... • Illegal Foreclosure

Fannie Mae and PHH mortgage illegally sold my home while I was fully involved in a loan modification. I had made the three trial payments and the first payment of the new modification. I had all the paperwork signed, notarized and sent in weeks before it was due. They sent me new paperwork two days before the sale date, telling me I needed to cross my exes name off wherever it was listed and have it notarized again. I drove straight to the bank, did this, sent it back immediately. Called them to let them know it was done. They sold my house anyhow, stating the paperwork came in a few hours... More...

  • loan modification

I am upset that my home loan modification was denied. I only take home about $1350 every two weeks. $904 goes to my mortgage (you) and $820 goes to child support, which is NOT an optional expense. I was told my home loan does not exceed 31% of my gross income. Well, it sure as hell exceeds 31% of my income after I'm done paying my child support. If your formula is based on gross income alone, why did I have to fill out a detailed account of my monthly expenses, which were clearly dismissed? Would it make a difference if I had to care for an elderly parent? It sure doesn't... More...

  • Modification is a joke

After months of working with an outside home loan modification company (big and learn), I decided to take my lenders advice and work directly with them. I INTENTIONALLY skipped two house payments to get the ball rolling a loan modification. Let's be honest here: if they're getting their money, why should they help you? If you're buying your groceries on your credit card just to eat, well that's your problem, right? Just to crunch numbers here.....without working any overtime, I take home about $1350 every two weeks. $904 of that goes to Fannie Mae,... More...

We offered full price for a fanne mae homepath home that was listed with new carpet, a new roof and paint inside and out. When we viewed the house the "new roof" had leaked and damaged the carpet. At the time we submitted the offer we stated the roof and carpet needed to be fixed. • Disgusted with Fannie Mae

I have now put 2 offers in on a Fannie Mae home in the past year. After our first offer we were told to submit our highest and final offer. We were then told higher offers were submitted and the house would be sold to the highest bidder. The house sat with no activity for approximately 9 months. There was no notification that the house was under contract of that there was a sale pending. When now put another offer in, and are being told the same thing. If there are other offers then why isn't the house selling? How many times can Fannie Mae and Vince DeMelfi run interested buyers in... More...

  • Fannie Mae DU Refi Plus computer issue

Fannie's Mae's DU system that allows for automatic underwriting of their DU Refi Plus loans only allows for up to 2 borrowers on the loan to show up in their system. This is a HUGE problem because i have both my parents on my loan and somehow I do not appear in their system, which is preventing me from doing the DU refi plus loan without keeping them on. This IS NOT a DU refi plus requirement and I find it absurd that I should have to have my parents on a loan for a home they do not live in, nor have ever paid for, just to satisfy Fannie Mae's antiquated computer system.... • Real Estate Broker

We have a real estate brokerage firm here that lists the majority of FNMA homes. I've submitted offers to him or properties that i think are a good investment as I'm an investor. now after a property sitting on the market for many months with no offers I get in a multiple offer situation as soon as I submit my offer! There has been no change in the price of the property or anything special to trigger a change of interest in the property. However, the brokerage works with their own investors and sell them in-house to their own now instead of having fair practice! any laws... More...

  • Fannie Mae Will Not Approve My Loan Modification

I have been in my house for about eight years now and need to get a lower payment. I have applied through several programs and have been turned down. I received letter from GMAC stating, "We service your loan on behalf of an investor or group of investors that has not given us authority to modify your loan." This means, I would have to be going through a divorce, death, or disability. • Fannie Mae

Unless you are a seasoned real estate buyer, run fast and hard from Fannie Mae foreclosures. My daughter and son-in-law put it an offer above the asking price. It took Fannie Mae several weeks just to accept the offer. They failed to make disclosures regarding foundation problems even though the agent had the report from the structural engineer. The Fannie Mae realtor was rude and condescending when we tried talking with him. They refused to replace the roof even though the damage occurred while the house was under contract. • Fannie Mae Nightmare

We found the house of our dreams and it was a Fannie Mae property. After weeks of negotiating and waiting for our offer to be accepted, we finally received notice that our offer was accepted and we would be going to settlement in 2 weeks. The day before settlement we received an email that there were "huge" issues and settlement was not going to happen. I purchased a Fannie Mae Home with a FHA loan, The FHA inspection was done without the utilities being on. After closing I paid the fees to have the utilities turned on to find that there were no water pipes , no gas ever installed for the gas stove island. • Screwed again!

We wrote an offer on a Fannie Mae home in Oroville CA. The Fannie Mae Agent made a counter offer. We accepted the counter offer the same day. The loan was approved and the property was in excrow. Suddenly, the Fannie Mae agent stated that he would not sell the house. He stated that it must go to "Wholesale". The property is not scheduled to go to "wholesale" until January 25th, 2 months from now. This agent refused to send an e-mail stating his position. • What A Joke Fannie Mae Is

We are trying to purchase a home with Fannie Mae and we were suppose to close on June 22nd and found out that they never signed the deed documents from the previous owner. Now hows that for a company that should be on top of things like that? Anyways so now almost a week later and nothing is happening yet! No one knows what is going on with these deed documents and now our interest rate lock is expiring so it will be $350 dollars to extend it and they better pay that since its their fault for not having that taken care of months ago when they bought at as a short sale! • Fannie Mae. Too slow

We made an offer on a FM owned single family (MLS# C7022837) in Port Charlotte, FL. The deadline was 5PM 5/3/11. The offer was cash and was clearly expressing our desire for quick closing. WE are waiting the SECOND WEEK for a decision! Meanwhile we received a counteroffer, accepted it within an hour and got a VERBAL acceptance, but NOTHING IN WRITING for NINE DAYS! We can't make offers on other properties, we can't make an inspection on this one, we can't go home home to CT to prepare for a movement! We are sitting in Florida, wasting time and money! And I failed to fined on... More...

  • Changed Closing Costs

I am in the process of buying a Fannie Mae foreclosure. The offering price was agreed upon along with 3% closing costs. The appraisal came in lower and Fannie Mae agreed to the lower price and still 3% closing costs. Both buyer (me) and seller (FM) signed the amendment. A day later, FM sent another amendment saying they agree to the price, but no longer included closing costs. This cannot be legal, I am prepared to file a breach of contract claim. Any advise? • Fannie Mae should be ashamed of themselves

I'm the owner of a property that went into foreclosure. I've stressed to the bank for over a year that I wanted a modification. All of the financial information was forwarded to the bank back in October of 2009, however they kept putting the modification and the foreclosure auction date off. Then I recieved a letter from the attorney handling the foreclosure dated May 6th stating the home is going in for auction on June 1st, but later received a letter dated May 26th from the bank asking for more information for the modification needed by June 25th, but it went to auction... I made a bid on a home it was rejected soho countered I have not heard from anyone. Today my agent tells me there's a offer pending. I don't understand why haven't anyone gotten back with us

niftyswell says: (5 years ago)
We have not had a late payment for a mortgage in our lives. We send in our payments 2 to 3 weeks early because FNMA will not take electronic transfers. The very first two payments after our loan was taken over by them and they have told us they did not get them in time. We have credit score over 800 but feel they may be doing this purposely to keep us from refinancing elsewhere. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this...they told us we cannot trust the post office and perhaps we need to send in a month earlier...and are charging us the late fees.

lisjay1336 says: (5 years ago)
We worked for several months to buy a foreclosure from Fannie Mae and after alot of run around and several resummited bids our offer was accepted. We recived a Congratulation from the Realator and a copy of the acceptance from Homepath. We did everything the realator asked for and in a timely matter. The loan documents were signed and ready to go only to find out a couple days later Fannie Mae accepted another offer and kicked ours out. We didnt have a signed contract because I believe the whole time they were playing games and knew there was another offer so they never got the paperwork over to us to sign. To them it money and a bussiness , to us its a house we can call home. I would NEVER suggest to purchase or have to deal with Fannie Mae what so ever !!!!!!! When calling to complain all you get is a supervisor will call you back and NEVER does.

fojhl says: (6 years ago)
Fannie Mae...WHAT A JOKE!...I have good credit...more than 20% down...could have purchased a house that was not a foreclosure...found out three day before closing that the house was only listed for the renovation HomePath loan which was a mistake on the listing agents part...this home should have qualified for the HomePath mortgage...Fannie Mae will not change so that we can close because it only said conventional loan and not conventional HomePath loan on our contract...Fannie Mae told the listing agent in a email to cancel the f***'n contract...Gee, I thought they wanted to get rid of all the foreclosed homes they had...I AM CONFUSED! PLEASE REPLY FANNIE MAE.
